Coming Soon: Digital Licenses!

A new online license portal will be launching soon. License holders will be able to download, print, and manage their license online. The portal will also provide access to forms and allow users to track application activity.

Digital licenses will include a QR code for quick and secure verification.

Notice:  Paper licenses will continue to be available until April 30, 2026. After this date, licenses will be issued in digital format.

Additional updates will be shared as new features become available.​​

​​Chiropractor License Categories​​

A. General Chiropractor, with or without Physical Therapy Privileges (PT), with or without Dry Needling Privileges

  • ​PT privileges are required to perform PT modalities and/or physical therapy rehab with patients
  • Registration is required to perform Trigger Point Dry Needling.
B. Supervising Chiropractor with Physical Therapy Privileges (PT), with or
without Dry Needling Privileges

  • Authorized to employ and supervise Chiropractic Assistants (CAs) and CA trainees. CAs must be register with the Board upon completion of the CA training program within one year of Board authorization. See CA Trainee training program requirements pursuant to COMAR 10.43.07.01 - .18.
  • Registration is required to perform Trigger Point Dry Needling.

Payments & Form Submission

As of February 1, 2025, the Board no longer accepts checks, money orders, or paper applications by mail. All payments and required documents must be submitted through our online portal​.​


Implicit Bias and Structural Racism Training

All Chiropractors and Chiropractic Assistants are required to complete the implicit bias and structural racism training at their first renewal after April 1, 2026. The list of approved courses may be accessed using this link: Approved Implicit Bias Training Courses​.


Servicemember and Spouse License Portability

Reinstatement - JP Examination Requirement

​Applicants must take and pass the Jurisprudence Examination to qualify for reinstatement. Contact the Board for guidance and total fees. See Law §3–310(a)(4)​


Address Change

If you have moved since your last renewal or receipt of your initial license, submit an address change form (DC's​ click here, CA's click here) to the Board. A $50.00 duplication fee plus a $200.00 failure to notify penalty will be imposed for reprinted Licenses due to an incorrect address of record.  See COMAR 10.43.01.05 (f) and  COMAR 10.43.06.02.(s)​​​
