Birth and Death Certificates

You may need additional documentation, including a certified copy of a birth certificate, to renew your Maryland Driver’s License or Identification Card due to the Federal Real ID Act. The Vital Records Administration supports the requirements for obtaining a certified copy of a birth certificate.
